The need for preschool education to assist young children to prepare well for primary schools is widely acknowledged by an increasing number of parents. Some believe that nursery schools have the potential to provide a concrete foundation before starting formal education, while others argue that staying with the families is more beneficial.

To begin with, going to nursery school provides young children more opportunities to interact with different people, especially those of similar ages. It is apparent that kindergartens in a community accommodate children who are from different families and they are looked after on a group basis. For example, a report conducted by sociologists statistically proves that young children who are educated in preschools, normally perform better and show less anxiety to strangers when they meet with other people in later schooling.

Further, children who enter kindergartens have better ability of using their language. The reason is that young children tend to speak and communicate with friends more often than those who remain at home, and meanwhile, some pre-schools even start a second language education at a very early stage as three to seven years of age is the prime time for language learning.

However, there are some disadvantages involved in preschools as well. Young children, at times, have to spend five to six hours in kindergartens and when they finish dinner and shower after arriving home, they have to go to bed, which leaves no quality time to enjoy with their parents.

Apart from this, diseases among young children in kindergartens spread quicker and they have a higher possibility to become infected rather than those who stay at home. A personal example is that my little brother used to catch cold a few times every month, as his friends in the kindergarten always infected him.

To sum up, both pros and cons have been discussed as a guideline for parents to consider, however, in my opinion, the advantages of preschool education outweigh its drawbacks.

Some believe that governments should maintain the system, while others argue family support is a more relevant source of support. In this essay, I will summarize both options in order to give a better and more effective solution.

First, governments are financially stronger and have the capability of dealing with these people’s needs. As life expectancy is growing longer due to the development of technology and medical advances, the cost of caring for the elderly and disabled increases exponentially, and only governments that are able to spend the country’s revenue can afford this expenditure. In Japan for an example, trillions of yen have been spent every year on welfare related projects, however, this budget increases the financial burden and the government deficit.

Further, governments can also provide various forms of support to these people by allocating money to projects, such as providing universities to the elderly and work training programs to the unemployed.

However, financially, if families assisted these people, their supporters would take a great deal of financial pressure. It is not hard to visualize that those who have few dependents to rely on, would have a miserable and unhappy life, at least in terms of money.

Moreover, apparently the disadvantaged cannot be treated equally. In other words, the disabled or elderly who are from deprived families will have to suffer more than those from rich families. This is a challenge and will jeopardize the equity of the social system.

To conclude, the advantages of maintaining the welfare system by governments outweighs its drawbacks and in my opinion, the government should responsible for the social welfare system.

This essay will discuss some of reasons for this ignorance and what can be done to address this unfavorable situation.

To begin with, many people feel that basic science is not closely related to their daily lives compared with humanities. For example, one would need an appreciation of beauty to help them to choose what they would wear on an ordinary day rather than discussing the outfit based on the chemical compositions of the material.

Second, science professionals cannot earn as good a salary as those working with humanities. For instance, both pop and sports stars, such as soccer players are located on top of the salary list, however, even if one won the Nobel Prize that is the most reputable award with the greatest financial rewards, only millions of dollars for a whole lifetime’s effort would be gained. This amount is not comparable with a super stars’ salary for a single year.

In order to terminate this unfortunate trend, governments have to raise public awareness of the significance of basic science, and provide science professionals with more appreciation and increased financial rewards. Meanwhile, schools can also augment the emphasis of assessing basic science subjects, such as physics and chemistry to increase students’ interests.

In conclusion, apart from the importance of basic science and their less-paid professionals, the causes of the ignorance of basic science are numerous but obvious. I am convinced that measures, including efforts by governments and schools should be taken to provide solutions to this issue.

In order to show their attractions in advertisements, they are required to provide better quality and service as advertisements are considered as a promise that sellers have made to the public. To be a responsible and moral corporation, they have to fulfill what they promised in advertising.

To sum up, advertising not only increases sales, but more importantly, as a moral commitment from the seller, it improves the performance and quality as well.
