help/assist/aid
(1)動詞help和assist的含義往往相同，但assist較正式，而且總是暗示被幫助者自己也在做一部分工作，若某人處于困境，你幫助他用help，而不說assist。如：
They helped the drowning man.他們救了那個溺水的人。
(2)aid系正式用語，與help相似，但不經(jīng)常使用。
(3)在help，assist后面可以接動詞不定式，aid則不能這樣使用。
He helped me (to) pass my exam.他幫助我通過了考試。
