Ending poverty in all its forms everywhere by 2030 is an ambitious but achievable goal – the key to success rests on political determination, driven by solid knowledge about the causes, mechanisms and consequences of poverty. The possibility of achieving fast and sustained poverty eradication depends on our ability to work collaboratively.

在2030年以前消除全世界各種形式的貧窮，是一項(xiàng)雄心勃勃但卻可以實(shí)現(xiàn)的目標(biāo)，其成功的關(guān)鍵在于政治決心，由對(duì)貧窮的原因、機(jī)制和影響的充分了解所推動(dòng)的政治決心。能否實(shí)現(xiàn)快速和可持續(xù)的消除貧窮，取決于我們開展合作的能力。

As measured by the 2024 Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index, 1.6 billion persons are identified today as poor. That staggering figure reveals levels of human deprivation far beyond what arbitrary income lines can capture. Poverty is about money, but never just about money, as underlined by UNESCO’s 2024 World Social Science Report. Better understanding of the relationships between income and other dimensions of poverty can help to empower people living in poverty as agents of change.

根據(jù) 2024年多維貧窮指數(shù)的衡量，如今有16億人被確定為窮人。這一令人震驚的數(shù)字遠(yuǎn)比任意的收入水平更能表明人類貧窮程度。正如教科文組織《2024年世界社會(huì)科學(xué)報(bào)告》所強(qiáng)調(diào)的，貧窮事關(guān)金錢，但絕不僅僅事關(guān)金錢。更好地理解收入與貧窮的其他維度之間的關(guān)系，有助于為生活在貧困中的人增強(qiáng)權(quán)能，使他們發(fā)揮變革推動(dòng)者的作用。

Delivering the poverty eradication goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development demands renewed policy approaches and more comprehensive and sophisticated knowledge. Beyond traditional mechanisms of poverty reduction, poverty can be only solved by tackling inequalities. So long as injustice and exploitation are embedded in economic, social and cultural systems, poverty will continue to devastate the lives of millions of women and men.

實(shí)現(xiàn)2030年可持續(xù)發(fā)展議程中的消除貧窮目標(biāo)，需要更新政策方針以及更為全面和深入的知識(shí)。出除了傳統(tǒng)減貧機(jī)制，只有解決不平等問題才能解決貧窮問題。只要經(jīng)濟(jì)、社會(huì)和文化體制中仍然存在不公與剝削，貧窮就將繼續(xù)摧毀數(shù)以百萬計(jì)人的生活。

Breaking the vicious circle of poverty by 2030 is part of a larger cultural transformation based on solidarity, collaboration and peace to which UNESCO is deeply committed. Through powerful tools for social transformation – education, culture, science, communication and information – UNESCO contributes to embedding social justice within societies. Justice is a right, and justice and good governance are foundations for more lasting and sustainable peace.

在2030年以前打破貧窮的惡性循環(huán)是更大規(guī)模的文化變革的一部分，其基礎(chǔ)是教科文組織所珍視的團(tuán)結(jié)、合作與和平。通過教育、文化、科學(xué)、傳播及信息這些社會(huì)變革的有力工具，教科文組織為將社會(huì)正義注入社會(huì)作出貢獻(xiàn)。正義是一項(xiàng)權(quán)利，正義和善治同時(shí)也是更為持久與可持續(xù)的和平的基石。
