英語(yǔ)講義【140】由“at”引導(dǎo)的介詞短語(yǔ)

　　在英語(yǔ)里，介詞短語(yǔ)（prepositional phrases）數(shù)量之多，可以和片語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞（phrasal verbs）互相比擬，不與它們親近也難。

　　下面是些由at引導(dǎo)的介詞短語(yǔ)，你都見(jiàn)過(guò)嗎？

　　1. At bay：（經(jīng)常和keep或hold連用）使不能接近

　　One of the gangsters kept the police at bay until the rest escaped.
